An Invention I would find it hard to live without!

These days, high-tech inventions are so much a part of our lives. It’s very hard to imagine everyday life without them.

One high-tech invention I would find it difficult to live without is the mobile phone. The mobile phone allows us to keep in close contact with our family, friends, and colleagues. We can easily reach people that are important to us in an emergency and let them know important information. We can also share good news with people and have their emotional support.

I talk every day to my friends and family on my mobile phone. It helps us keep in close contact since we are living far away ____ each other. If we didn’t have our mobile phones, we will feel lonelier and miss each other much more.

However, even with all these advantages, there are some disadvantages to using a mobile phone. Sometimes the connection is not very good and the conversation can be cut off, or we can misunderstand what the other person say. Sometimes we can feel frustrate because the conversation is disrupted at ___ very important point in our discussion. Other disadvantage is, we can spend too much time talking to people in our former environment and not get into making new friends and learning about our new environment.

In adition, some people say that mobile phones can pose health risks, for example, some scientists say that the radiation from cell phones could cause brain tumours. So, the more we use cell phones, the more risk we take. We ned to understand the consequences of using some of today’s high-tech inventions.

To conclude, although high-tech inventions offer us many advantages, they can also pose some disadvantages to our quality of life.
