Course Description:
The course is an integrated skills class that
includes instruction and practice in grammar, listening, reading, speaking and
writing. It will cover Chapters 6 - 12 in the textbook, picking up where Level
5 left off. If you took Level 5 here at the UN, you will already have the textbook.
Class attendance:
If you know you will be on vacation or on mission, it would be helpful if you could notify me before your departure. You do not need to contact me if you are just going to miss one or two classes. If you are absent, please ask me for any handouts during the next class session
Final exam:
In order to pass Level 6 and move to Level 7, you must receive a 65 % or higher on the end-of-term exams. There is a written exam and an oral exam. Both will take place sometime between 12 July and 14 July. I will let you know the exact dates later on in the term. If you will be unable to take the regularly scheduled exams, please let me know as soon as possible. You can take the early make-up or the late make-up exam. You must fill out a form if you plan to take a make-up exam.
The content of the exams will match what we study in class
this term. We will review extensively before the exam. I look forward to
working with all of you!
